Abstract
Focuses on the InstaClad all weather external wall insulation composite system (masonry), appropriate for the outside of external walls in new and existing domestic and non-domestic buildings. This system is composed of an insulated calcium silicate board, bonded to graphite-enhanced expanded polystyrene insulation panels, which is adhesively fixed to the substrate and mechanically fixed to galvanized steel rails, which are then fixed to the masonry substrate. Assesses thermal performance, strength and stability, behaviour in relation to fire, risk of condensation and durability.
