Abstract

The need to provide an integral internal corrosion-resistant lining to GRP sanitary sewer pipes is examined. The materials, and the development and method of manufacture of GRP in pipe form, are briefly discussed, together with the various modes of attack on the individual laminate components and the pipe wall laminate, when the pipes are used to convey sewage. Recommendations are made regarding the specification of GRP pipe linings for manufacture and use both in the UK and abroad.
