Abstract
Relates to a range of glass fibre/polyester‑reinforced, atactic polypropylene (APP) and styrene‑butadiene‑styrene (SBS) polymer‑modified bitumen membranes for use as fully bonded waterproofing on flat and pitched roofs with limited access. Key factors assessed were mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention, sustainable use of natural resources, and durability.
