Abstract
Relates to fibre‑reinforced cement tiles in plain unpainted and acrylic‑painted finishes for use on conventional pitched timber roofs with a minimum pitch of 20° and for cladding on external walls in domestic and non‑domestic buildings. Key factors assessed were mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention, sustainable use of natural resources, and durability.
