Provides updated requirements, guidance and advice for the design of highway structures, including modifying designs, reporting requirements, departures and execution requirements. Looks at traffic loads on highway structures, seismic resistance and durability.
History
Highway Structures and Bridges. Design. Supersedes CD 350 Design of highway structures (formerly BD 100/16, BA 57/01, BD 57/01, IAN 124/11) (HE, 2020). Revision 0 - dated March 2020 - replaces BD 100/16, BA 57/01, BD 57/01. Version 1.0.0 dated September 2025. Major update to incorporate consequential changes as a result of Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW) refresh.
