Abstract
Relates to Fermacell Dry Flooring Elements, comprising gypsum fibreboards, with or without insulation, for internal use as a floating flooring overlay on concrete or timber boarded floor decks to provide thermal insulation on ground-supported and suspended concrete floors or reduce impact and airborne sound transmission on intermediate floors, in dwellings and flats. The key factors assessed include mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention, sustainable use of natural resources, and durability.
