Abstract

Refers to BC Pedestals, constructed from recycled copolymer polypropylene components, are designed to support decking and paving on flat roofs, balconies, terraces, porches, and exterior industrial surfaces for pedestrian use only, and are not suitable for moving or vibratory machinery. Key factors assessed were mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention, sustainable use of natural resources, durability.
