Abstract
Relates to Mada ProGuard Glass Mat Sheathing Board, glass fibre-reinforced gypsum boards, used as a non-load bearing sheathing board in weatherproof façade constructions. The product should be placed behind a drained and ventilated rain-screen cladding, over vertical light gauge steel-frame external walls, in new and existing buildings above the damp-proof course (DPC) level, and external ceiling applications. Key factors assessed were mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire section, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention, sustainable use of natural resources, durability.
