MCHW Volume 1 Specification for Highway Works (SHW)

Abstract

Provides guidance for preparing contracts to be used for construction, improvement or maintenance of trunk roads and motorways. Provides requirements relating to: weed control, controlling wildlife, ground preparation, planting, watering, maintenance, waterbody management and special ecological measures.

History

Replaces MCHW Volume 1 Specification for highway works (SHW). (March 1998 incorporating amendments up to and including October 2022) (NHW, 1992).
