Abstract

Offers a brief understanding of current legislation requirements relating to fire resisting ventilation and smoke control duct sections following the UK leaving the EU, under the Construction Products Regulations (CPR) 2013, and the Construction Product (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020. The progression route was for prior harmonised European product standards to be converted to designated British Standards, however not all the required documents were published. Discusses the limitations, how and when they will change, transitional arrangements, frequently asked questions and presents a table of relevant standards.
