Abstract

Provides technical guidance for installing electric vehicle charge points at new residential and non-residential buildings, buildings undergoing a material change of use to dwellings, residential and non-residential buildings undergoing major renovation and new or undergoing major renovations mixed-use buildings.

It does not apply to work subject to a building notice, full plans application or initial notice submitted before that date, provided the work is started on site before 15 June 2023. First published December 2021 - revised and consolidated February 2022 to correct errors noted and for further clarity in Paragraphs 2.2.b, 2.3, 2.7, 2.8, 2.10, 2.12, 2.13, and 4.1.c.
