Abstract

Comprises an update to the Scottish Government's climate change plan published in 2018, which set out proposals and policies up to 2032, covering the following sectors: electricity, buildings, transport, industry, waste, land use, land use change, forestry and agriculture. This update should be read alongside the original plan. Contains a new focus on green recovery and shows which of the emissions reduction policy outcomes, policies and policy proposals within the 2018 Plan will be updated (by ‘boosting’ or accelerating actions), and what new policies have been added since 2018. Also updates the monitoring framework from the 2018 Plan. This will now be used for annual, sector by sector, reporting on progress from May 2021 onwards.
