Abstract

Provides requirements for measuring vehicle speeds and the 85th percentile speed on existing all-purpose trunk roads. Looks at spot speed and journey speeds, speed limits, traffic signal installations, other scheme types, free flow conditions, recording minimum vehicle numbers, speed measurement frequency, timing and measurement methods.
