Abstract

Provides information relating to sterilization of medical devices in a Central Decontamination Unit using vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide or Ethylene Oxide.

History

SHTM 01-01 replaces some parts of SHTM 2010, SHTM 2030 and SHTM 2031 dated 2001. Version 1.0 dated September 2018. SHTM 01-01:2018 is made up of seven parts: parts A-F. SHTM 01-01 Part A covers the stages of the decontamination process required before medical devices are sterilized. It also includes a glossary for the SHTM 01-01 series.
