Abstract

Contains an update to the UK Biodegradable Municipal Waste (BMW) sent to landfill statistics section of the 'UK statistics on waste' publication. This provides information about total waste generated for the whole of UK, the contribution of different sectors and its management. These UK figures are compiled to comply with EC Waste Framework Directive, EC Waste Statistics Regulation, EC Landfill Directive and EC Packaging and Packaging Waste Directive reporting requirements.
