Assesses possible materials that could be used as reference surfaces for the accreditation of sideway-force Coefficient Route Investigation Machines (SCRIMs). The three materials assessed were mini-mesh, anthracite tile and LEGO. Suitable characteristics were identified through the assessment results and found all three materials to be acceptable.
