Loss Prevention Standard
Covers requirements relating to the composition and performance of an asset marking system, so when used in line with the manufacturer's instructions the asset marking device will enable the marked asset to be traced to the legal owner through a secure database register linked to the marking system employed. It may also serve as a theft deterrent in the first instance by virtue of visible marking.
