Abstract
Looks at how results from the European Observation Network for Territorial Development and Cohesion (ESPON) research programme may support European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) activities in the UK, to achieve the EU 2020 goals for 'smart, sustainable and inclusive growth'. Specifically outlines the results of over 40 projects of relevance to ESIF activities split into ten thematic objectives, looking at local contexts and the tools used.
