Abstract
Presents the impact assessment and preferred option for an amendment to the REACH enforcement regulations 2008, where an optional derogation will allow the supply and professional use in the UK of paint strippers based on the solvent dichloromethane (DCM). Particularly important in the restoration and maintenance of heritage buildings and machinery, and in antique restoration.
