Abstract
Comprises research on how the Designing Streets policy is being implemented across Scotland. Includes illustrated case studies where a method to analyse good practice in the design of streets for new residential development has been tested against details within policy guidance. From the research recommendations, a plan of practical action is being drawn up to promote the consistent application of better processes and good practice where street designs proposals can contribute to creating higher quality built places in Scotland.
