Abstract
Introduces ways of meeting some of the requirements of the functional standards set out in Regulation 9 of the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004. Offers examples of common construction situations relating to additional common junction details where the principles can be applied.
History
For building warrant applications submitted on or after 1 October 2010. Part of the: "Accredited construction details (Scotland) 2010 - For the limitation of thermal bridging and air infiltration in low and medium rise domestic buildings" (Scottish Government, 2010) which comprises: Introduction and principles. Part 1 - Full fill masonry construction details. Part 2 - Partial fill masonry construction details. Part 3 - Timber frame construction details. Part 4 - Metal frame construction details. This Part 5 - Additional common junction details.
