Abstract

Gives additional advice to that offered by BD 63/94 and BA 63/94. Details actions to be taken for gantries with handrails lower than 1,100mm. Covers information for open mesh flooring.

Wales only IANs are issued by the Welsh Government. They contain specific guidance, to be used only in connection with works on the motorway and trunk road network in Wales. IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). Applicable to Wales only. Relates to DMRB BD 63/94 and BA 63/94.
