Abstract

Gives advice for improving the performance of surfacing to bridge decks (especially surfaces less than 120mm thick) and for application of waterproofing systems on concrete less than 28 days old.

History

Wales only IANs are issued by the Welsh Government. They contain specific guidance, to be used only in connection with works on the motorway and trunk road network in Wales. IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). To be read with HA BD 47/99. Applicable to Wales only.
