Provides information on intumescent coatings, off-site application methods and their use, fire resistant design and background information relating to the specific requirements of off-site application of thin film intumescent coatings. The Model Specification provides clients and specifiers with the necessary information to facilitate the adoption and specification of these coatings and their off-site application, and will help to achieve greater uniformity in contract specifications that are issued with tender and contract documents.
Previously published by the Steel Construction Institute as Publication P 160, but is now included as an ASFP Technical Guidance Document, it is unchanged from the last version published by SCI and is still current industry guidance.
