Abstract
Intended to enable local authorities to improve on the service they already provide in tackling poor air quality by providing relevant policy and technical guidance on a specific transport measure - encouraging uptake of Low Emission Vehicles. The guidance provides information on selecting methods for implementing this measure, practical issues that have arisen in implementing previous examples of this measure and advice on appraising potential costs and air quality benefits of the measure in cost effectiveness and cost-benefit analyses.
