Technical Advice Notes (Wales)
Presents advice on preparing Open Space Assessments; keeping existing facilities; the provision of new facilities; and topics related to water based recreation, off-road recreational vehicles, allotments and spaces for children's and young people's play. Also discusses development management issues about the design of facilities and spaces, and noise and accessibility. It also considers how planning agreements can help the provision and maintenance of facilities.
Supersedes TAN 16: Sport and recreation (Welsh Office, 1998) and Draft revised technical advice note 16 'sport, recreation and open space' - consultation document (NAW, 2006).
