Abstract
Provides strategic guidance that can be applied to all waste facilities whatever the size, from smaller community facilities such as civic amenity sites and compost units on estates to larger combined heat and power facilities. It also outlines the key design principles for waste facilities; references and signposts relevant existing design documentation; and explains how good design is central to the delivery processes, highlighting the key design considerations, the stakeholders involved and their respective roles.
