Abstract
Shows recent changes in British and European Standards and Specifications that influence the use of recycled aggregates in concrete (RCA). Summarises the requirements for EN 206-1 and BS 8500-1 and -2, including the guidance on the selection of designated concrete by application to BS 8500 and exposure classes where RCA can be used. Provides relevant information from the Specification for Highway Works as well as on the nomenclature and requirements for aggregates to BS EN 12620.
