Abstract

Reviews the state of information and practice in respect of the demand for marine materials and of the resources available on the continental shelf of north-west Europe. Forecasts demand until 2025 as well as compiling past extraction statistics. Identifies disparities in the amount, the completeness and the quality of information from the region’s countries. Relates factors that might influence future demand and outlines government policies and licensing procedures.
