Abstract
The standards focus on the impact of the facilities and services provided by the centre on resident families. There are 25 standards, grouped under the following headings: purpose and function, quality of care, parents’ and children’s rights, protection, staffing, premises, and organisation and management. Each standard is preceded by a statement of the outcome for residents to be achieved by the centre.
