Abstract

Sets out a series of policy recommendations to address the lack of supply and responsiveness of housing in the UK. The recommendations cover a broad spectrum of issues. It suggests that a need to integrate economic considerations into the planning system, that there is a need for a better means of assessing the costs and benefits of development and land use and that there is a need to acknowledge market signals and use the information provided.
