Abstract

Sets out the approach to sustainable development taken by DCMS. An action plan is presented, in which objectives have been grouped under the broad headings of sustainable policies, sustainable estate management, and communicating sustainable development.

Publisher History

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport are responsible for Government policy on the arts, sport, the National Lottery, tourism, libraries, museums and galleries, broadcasting, creative industries including film and the music industry, press freedom and regulation, licensing, gambling and the historic environment. They are also the Department responsible for 2012 Olympic Games & Paralympic Games. Prior to 1997 they were known as the Department of National Heritage.
