Abstract
Aims to: outline the processes of urban change that underpin the framework for the Town and City Indicators Database (TCID) study; provide a snapshot of the state of towns and cities using a number of strategic indicators; use selected indicators to illustrate the types of analysis that can be developed to measure performance across the five visions of the Urban White Paper; obtain views regarding the format, issue coverage and types of analysis to be included in the '2005 State of Cities Report'.
