Abstract

The purposes of this research are: to establish the extent to which local planning authorities are implementing PPG 7 policies for diversification of the rural economy in their development plans and development control decisions; to establish the reasons the policies are not being fully implemented insofar as this is the case and; to recommend steps to overcome any further obstacles to complete implementation.
