Abstract

Consolidates the advice on land pipelines contained in earlier departmental circulars. The purpose of the 1962 Act was to secure the orderly construction of pipelines in such a way as to meet the requirements of the pipeline users, while at the same time minimising disturbance by careful planning of routes and by avoiding unnecessary duplication of pipelines.
