Abstract
Describes some of the planning provisions of the Housing and Planning Act 1986, which include removal of the requirement on the electricity industry to consult county councils as well as district councils about proposed low voltage overhead power lines; establishment of experimental areas for the control of advertisements; extension of the powers of district authorities to require proper maintenance of land adversely affecting amenity.
