Abstract

Contains guidance on the safe, economical and effective disposal and management of dredgings, and is consistent with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and associated Waste Management Regulations. Presented in two parts. Part A provides guidance on the selection and planning of a disposal method, including the legal position, information requirements and application procedures. Part B provides supporting information to enable the user to apply for a licence or register for an exemption. Will assist operators in interpreting the regulations and applying them to their own activities in a legally correct and cost effective manner.
