Provides guidance for dam owners, engineers and others who are concerned with the safety of concrete and masonry dam structures. It is non-prescriptive and is not a code of practice. It is not intended to be a guide for the design of new dams but some aspects of the design and construction of older dams are described to assist the engineers of today to assess their safety.
