Abstract
Relates to a lightweight, non-combustible, unfaced glass mineral wool batt for use as partial fill thermal insulation in external masonry cavity walls, maintaining a minimum residual cavity of 50 mm. Suitable for domestic and non-domestic buildings without height restrictions, with additional requirements for buildings above 25 metres. Key factors assessed include thermal performance, water resistance, condensation risk, fire behaviour, durability, and compliance with updated Building Regulations covering energy efficiency, sustainability, and nearly zero-energy building standards.
