Abstract
Relates to Wykamol CM8 Geotextile Membrane, a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) membrane with geotextile backing, for damp-proofing walls below ground level and floors in new construction or in existing buildings. It is also used in new build as a protection and drainage board membrane in conjunction with horizontal and vertical external waterproofing systems. Key factors assessed were mechanical resistance and stability, safety in case of fire, hygiene, health and the environment, safety and accessibility in use, protection against noise, energy economy and heat retention, sustainable use of natural resources, and durability.
