Abstract
Relates to a translucent high-density polyethylene (HDPE) membrane incorporating a polypropylene mesh as a key for plaster, render or dry lining on plaster dabs for damp-proofing walls and ceilings in new construction or in existing buildings. It can be used above or below ground, over a contaminated or damp background, to support a dry lining. It can also be used externally as a waterproof support for render. Key factors assessed were resistance to water and water vapour, resistance to salt transfer, properties in relation to fire, resistance to puncture, and durability.
