Abstract

Relates to a gas resistant membrane, for use above or below concrete ground floor slabs with no hydrostatic pressure, as gas barrier and damp-proof membrane to protect against moisture, radon, methane and carbon dioxide. Key factors assessed were resistance to water, water vapour, underground gases and puncture; and durability.
