Abstract
Reports on the review examining whether Highly Protected Marine Areas (HPMAs), areas of sea with the strongest protection, could be introduced in the English inshore and offshore zones, and the Northern Ireland offshore zone. Covers: social and economic opportunities and challenges from introducing HPMAs; successful HPMA identification; how government can make HPMAs work; and selection of pilot HPMAs.
