Traffic Signs Manual
Offers advice on the use of traffic signs and road markings within the highway network. Sets out the legal aspects and how the requirements have changed over time. Covers sign classifications, positioning, mounting, backgrounds, sign maintenance, removal of signs and supports, sign specification, illumination with standard colours for signs and markings given in Appendix A. Relevant British Standards are detailed in Appendix B.
