Abstract

Provides guidance for complying with building regulations and applying the calculation methodology used for non-domestic buildings under standards 6.1 and 6.9 of the 2015 Non-domestic Technical Handbook. Indicates the main changes introduced with the 2015 NCM guide and looks at a notional building, detailing glazing types, building fabric, HVAC systems, auxiliary energy, lighting power density, then looks at the actual building and building fabric, lighting, energy, ventilation, shell buildings, modular and portable buildings and extensions to the insulation envelope. Also covers solar gains and energy performance certificates.
