Abstract

Provides additional design guidance and recommendations for bollards used as vehicle security barriers (VSB) in crowded spaces to reduce the effects on pedestrian flow. Covering the configuration of bollard arrays, site and population factors. Text has been amended: to show that bollards are effective security deterrent from vehicle threats and guidance for implementing bollards as vehicle security barriers.
