Abstract
Advises on the requirements for the preparation and adoption of a local development plan (LDP) in Northern Ireland. Discusses submission and handling of representations related to development plan documents, highlighting: the legislative context; public consultation and availability of a development plan document (DPD); requirements for the submission of a representation and counter representation; use of standard or model forms for the submission of representations and counter representations; availability of representations on a DPD; representations (counter representations) on a site specific policy representation; public consultation on site specific policy representations (counter representations); availability of representation (counter representation) on a site specific policy representation; handling of representations and counter representations; statement of community involvement (SCI); and timetable.
