Abstract
Advises on the requirements for the preparation and adoption of a local development plan (LDP) in Northern Ireland. Sets local development plans in context, highlighting: the legislative context; role of parties involved in the LDP process; plan-led system; linkage between the LDP and the Strategic Planning Policy Statement; linkage between the LDP and community plan; linkage between the LDP and other central Government strategies; and summary of key stages in the LDP system.
