Abstract

Comprises the final version of the impact assessment for the Street works (charges for occupation of the Highway) (England) regulations 2012. SI 2012/425, which will allow local authorities in England to implement 'lane rental' charging schemes. Also reveals why the new regulations are necessary prior to a small number of carefully-targeted pilot schemes for local highway authority lane rental schemes. Presents the impact assessment for 3 options under consideration.
