Abstract

Provides additional advice to BA 50/93 in the light of findings from the initial stages of the programme of special inspections of post-tensioned concrete bridges, and the lessons learned from the reports received.

History

Wales only IANs are issued by the Welsh Government. They contain specific guidance, to be used only in connection with works on the motorway and trunk road network in Wales. IANs must be read in conjunction with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW). Applicable to Wales only. Refers to DMRB Volume 3 Section 1 Part 3 (3.1.3).
